Assam Forest Department Recruitment Eligibility criteria
Educational Qualification:
Forest Guard – Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
Forester-I – Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any Examination declared equivalent by the Central/ State Government.
Driver – HSLC (12th pass) or equivalent examination passed and a valid four-wheeler driving license issued by the any Competent Authority of Assam.
Surveyor – HSLC (12th pass) or equivalent examination passed and a certificate in Draftsmanship from a recognized Institute.
Stenographer (Grade-III) – Graduate in any stream from a recognized College/Institution affiliated with a recognized University and National Trade Certificate in stenography from ITI in Assam or any other institute recognized by the Central/ State Government with 80 WPM in English Stenography.
Carpenter – HSLC (12th pass) or equivalent examination passed and a trade certificate from a recognized Institution.

Age limits
For the designation of Forest Guard and Driver, the applicant is required to attain a minimum age of 18 years and their maximum age should not exceed 38 years of age. Furthermore, for the designation of Forester Grade-I, the applicant’s minimum age should be not less than 21 years of age and the maximum age limit should not be more than 38 years of age. The age relaxation will be according to the guidelines set by the Assam government.
